As many of you already know, last June, I presented to the hospital after 3 days of vague chest pain and right arm pain. My delay almost cost me my life. I had a 100% blockage in my left anterior descending artery (LAD), also known as "The Widow Maker." Many people with this type of blockage never even make it to the hospital for treatment. I was one of the lucky ones, was rushed into an emergent cardiac cath procedure, had a drug eluding stent place, and had to go through weeks of cardiac rehab to build up my stamina. I am grateful to my Virtua Cardiology providers for their expertise and patience with me, since I am generally not a very patient person!
I am inviting you to join me on this journey to help same more lives.
Saving and improving lives can be as simple as taking a walk. And I know I'm making a difference in the lives of others by participating in the Heart Walk.
But it's not just my efforts alone that will one day help us see a world free of heart disease and stroke. I am walking with a team of heart heros because together, we will have an even greater impact. And you can help us change the world, one step at a time, by donating to my fundraiser.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that keeps hearts beating and helps people enjoy longer, healthier lives. I can't do it alone.
Please join my team and come out and walk with me on October 22, 2022. If you are unable to walk with me, please help me now by donating, because every step counts, and together we are helping save lives!
Have a heart and help me not only reach my goal, but exceed it, today!
