Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am so thrilled to inform you that I have joined the 2023 Heart Mini (Team; UC Heart) to participate in the 5k run on March 19, 2023 (Sunday) in Cincinnati, OH. Why I am doing this? I am not doing it for either fun or winning the price. I do it only because I would like to support and promote the American Heart Association that what it does to our community and research institutes, and I know you are there to support me.
The funds I raise will directly to the American Heart Association to support critical cardiovascular disease research and education.
With the click of a mouse, you can make a secure, tax-deductible online donation, directly to the American Heart Association. You will not only be supporting me, you will be funding the fight against the No. 1 killer of Americans, and also the No. 1 killer of women who are our loved ones including mom, sister, wife, in-laws, daughter, friends, relatives, etc. Heart disease causes 1 in 3 women’s deaths. More women than men die of heart disease. The link below will take you to my personal donation page. If you prefer, you can also mail me a donation directly.
Did you know that heart disease claims the lives of more people than the next 3 leading causes of death combined? Here is how your online donation will help:
-$25 gives 50 people educational materials that teach them how to personally reduce their risk of heart diseases and stroke
-$50 delivers the message of healthy nutrition to elementary school students through lesson plans and activity guides
-$100 allows one hospital to teach its patients, caregivers, and health professionals about the risks of stroke the nation's No. 4 killer
-$300 allows a research lab to buy an antibody, nitrocellulose membrane, and set up a PCR reaction to perform research studies on how to prevent the development of heart disease.
Chances are you or someone you know has a connection to heart disease or stroke - forward this message to your friends and family.
Thank you, in advance, for your support!
Regards,
