We are walking because we know that with every step, we are saving lives.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We must change that. For those that don’t know, my mom's death in 2018 was the result of a Heart attack and my grandmom's death back in 1995 was following a surgery that was performed on one of the chambers of her heart. Both are painstaking reminders of the fact that heart disease is real and it’s killing the people that we love!!
This year, my brothers Illya, Arion and I will again be participating in the Birmingham Heart Walk. We will be walking in memory of both our mom and our grandmom Rhonda and Estella.
