I walk to honor my Dad who, after dealing with AFib for many years and emergency open heart surgery in 2023, succumb to heart failure on October 22, 2024. I also walk to honor my Uncle Dick who survived multiple strokes and passed in 2017.
Working for the American Heart Association for the past three years, this role has taken on new meaning after losing my Dad. I'm walking to honor those we've lost, and celebrate all of the survivors young and old I've had the honor of working with. Without continung to fund research that will improve lives, families like mine will continue to lose their loved ones.
I walk because I know that with every step, I’m making a difference in someone’s life. And when combined with a million other Heart Walk & Run Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke. Will you be a Heart Walk & Run Hero with me?
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
Thank you for helping me reach my goal today in honor of my Dad.
