I am asking for your support, in loving memory of my dear mother, whose life was deeply impacted by the devastating effects of tobacco use.
It may surprise you to learn that smoking increases the risk of heart disease and stroke by two to four times. Also, women who smoke have a 25% higher risk of developing heart disease compared to men who smoke. Continuing to smoke throughout your life can shave off 12 years! So, despite beliefs to the contrary, smoking doesn’t just cause a risk for lung cancer. It damages every tissue and organ in your body – including your heart, lungs, mouth, throat, kidneys, cervix, and pancreas.
It’s time to take action and fight for your health and the health of the women you love.
Through this fundraiser supporting the American Heart Association, let's honor my mother’s legacy by advocating for a smoke-free future. Together, we can fund research and provide hope to those affected by COPD and cardiovascular disease.
May her memory inspire us to take action and prevent others from enduring the pain of watching their loved ones struggle for breath.
