When I was 14 years old I found my father passed away in our living room. He died of a stroke, as have too many others. In fact, stroke continues to be the #5 cause of death in the United States, and the leading cause of disability. As you may know, I have served on the local chapter of the American Heart Association’s Board for many years now. This year, to continue to honor my Father’s life, I have decided to take an additional leadership position and Chair the AHA’s annual City-Wide Challenge. As a group, we are working to raise $1,500,000 to further fuel the mission of the AHA here in the Bay Area. I have personally set a goal to fundraise $15,000 and need your support.
