I’m helping my school raise money to support special hearted kids, like me! I was born with Transposition of the Greater Arteries and had surgery to fix my heart when I was just a few days old. Every year, I see my heart doctor for a check up. She takes pictures of my heart and talks with me about all the ways to take care of myself and keep healthy. The test can be scary, and I’m lucky to have doctors and nurses and my mom and dad to help me understand why it is so important to learn about my heart. As I grow up, I’m learning all the ways to stay and be healthy and strong so I can keep doing all the things I love~ like playing basketball and baseball, cheering on my favorite teams, and hanging out with my friends! I’m excited to be working with my school and the AHA Kids Heart Challenge again this year to raise money and awareness for all the special hearted kids out there just like me :) Even the smallest donation can make a big difference!
