I am joining the American Heart Association to help support both patients and their families impacted by heart conditions. In 2023, my father suffered a heart attack that required emergency surgery, a week-long stay in the intensive care unit and a long recovery journey. Doctors were shocked he survived as his survival odds were only 5%. I know how scary and troubling this is for the patient and their family/friends. I am eager to support all the work the AHA does, especially in my backyard of Broward County!
