This cause is deeply personal to me—and I’m asking for your help.
On August 4, 2001, I lost my husband, Mike Passialis, to a heart attack. He was only 40 years old. Our daughters, Ashley (14) and Kara (7), lost their father far too soon.
Then, on November 17, 2014, my world was shaken again. My daughter Ashley, just 27 years old at the time, went into Sudden Cardiac Arrest at work. Thanks to the incredible quick response from the Huntley Fire Department, her life was saved.
Only 10% of people survive SCA. Ashley beat those odds. She is our miracle, our survivor, and my angel.
Heart disease and cardiac arrest affect too many people, and for me, it’s not just a statistic—it’s my family, my heart, my story.
I’ve joined the American Heart Association to help raise critical funds for research, awareness, and life-saving programs. Your donation—big or small—can help save lives.
Please consider donating today and sharing this message to help raise awareness. Together, we can make a difference.
With heartfelt thanks,
Jennifer
