9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
I know firsthand the sadness that cardiac arrest can have on a family. The unexpectedness of my father's death, to suddent cardiac arrest in 2008, left a profound hole in my life. To this day, its difficult for me to believe and I've marched through my adult life having memories that do not include my Dad. I joined a club that day that I never wanted to be a part of and this is a pain that no one should have to experience.
Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers. Together, we can turn victims into survivors.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
