I walk because I know that with every step, I'm making a difference in someone's life. Being a healthcare worker surrounded by patients and strangers alike, the importance of heart health & advovacy shines brightest when you are witness to many lives shattered by cardiac disease & illness. 

 

Many people won't find a reason to advocate until it affects them directly, but I won't be one to wait around until I lose someone dear to me. As our older population continues to age and progress into further health issues, now is the time to please consider supporting the American Heart Association's mission to cardiac research and supporting our hospital with our mission to strive towards a healthier and safer patient population in our local communities.
