Walking for Love, Legacy & Life â¤ï¸

This year, I?m walking in the 2025 Tampa Bay Heart Walk with Team emPOWer Saves Lives in honor and memory of my mom ? and as a celebration of being a heart attack survivor myself.

When we lost Mom 19 years ago, we didn?t know how different the warning signs of a heart attack can be in women compared to men. Back then, so much about ?women?s heart health? was misunderstood or overlooked. Thanks to ongoing research and medical advances, there?s greater awareness now ? and those advances have literally saved lives (including mine).

I?m walking because

 ? I can.

 ? Because Mom can?t.

 ? Because I want more daughters, mothers, sisters, and friends to recognize that heart disease is our enemy ? but one we can fight.

I?m heart healthy. 

I?m heart happy.

I?m walking to help make sure no one has to walk alone in this fight.
