Our family's journey started in 2020, when my mother in laws heart started failing. With lots of twist and turns life gave her, she fought every step of the way. Things took a turn for the worst and our last hope was for her to get an LVAD. An LVAD is a special heart pump that supports heart function and blood flow for the left side of the heart. It's heavy, life is restricted, daily dressing changes, it can't get wet, and relies on batteries being charged daily.
For 4 years she wore this LVAD, & for 4 years she waited on the transplant list for the call.
On June 24, 2025, we got the call we've been waiting for. On June 26, 2025, her sick heart was removed and a beautiful healthy heart was implanted.
It has been a heck of a journey with sooo many ups and downs, but I have seen Gods hands working through it all.

Ma, I love you so much and I'm so incredibly proud of you. I have been with you through the worse times and the best times. God is totally in control and I'm so excited for this second chance of life you've been given. God has something to special for you, I just know it.
To her donor: we don't know who you are, but I thank God for you everyday and pray for you and your family. Thank you for being an organ donor and saving her life. Words can't even begin to express how grateful we are for you and what you have given our family.
Ma, I am so excited to walk this victory lap with you and our family! We celebrate you and all the challenges you have faced.
I Walk because I am so proud of this amazing woman! I walk to Save Lives for other families in need!
