My mom had a massive heart attack at age 60 that caused Cardiogenic Shock. That occurs when the heart can’t pump enough blood to meet what the body needs. This can quickly lead to multi-organ failure and death. My mom survived by the grace of God after being in ICU for over a month. At my age of 61 I found myself in my mother’s footsteps. Definitely a much milder form of it but similar impact.
It started off with me having concerns about my elevated blood pressure and a very mild burning under my left breast. Which had it not been for the elevated BP I would have dismissed it as indigestion or acid reflux. BUT GOD…. I went ahead and called 911. The paramedics arrived and took an EKG and calmly said to me “how do you feel about taking a ride to the hospital”… well of course I said let’s go.
What I thought was a secondary issue turned into the primary issue my heart enzymes came back abnormal.
Long story short I had a procedure called a Cardiac Catheterization which found one of my arteries leading to my heart with an 80% blockage. There was a permanent stent placed in that artery to open it!!
The sequence of events proved to me that God had me .
