I am raising funds for the American Heart Association's Heart Walk. Heart disease has directly touched my father, uncle and grandparents, thus it is a personal cause close to my HEART. AHA funding has been responsible for these discoveries - blood pressure-lowering drugs, implantable pacemakers, artificial heart valve replacements, CPR training, cholesterol-lowering drugs, stents, stroke prevention and automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to name just a few. Without continued funding, the American Heart Association cannot continue this live-saving, critical work.
