9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. ​

 

I am one of the fortunate 1 out of 10 people that survived a cardiac arrest outside of the hospital with my friend, Drienna Thompson, immediately started CPR moments after my heart stop.

 

Since that day, March 2023, I’ve enjoyed multiple milestones, including my daughters’ birthdays, graduations (middle school and high school), college start and holidays that I may not have otherwise experienced. Hands-only CPR played a crucial role in allowing me to enjoy these moments.
