What is Field Day:
Employees form teams of 15-20 players and participate in fun physical and mental challenges while raising money for the American Heart Association. Points earned in 3 categories:
- Proper Prep Challenges - Physical Activity/Movement Challenges four weeks leading up to Field Day
- Field Day Activities
- Fundraising
Teams raise money leading up to the event through a Fundraising Challenge (worth the most points!)
To gain excitement leading up to event day, teams may also participate and earn points through the Proper Prep Challenges. There will be 4 in the series leading up to the Field Day event.
Let the games begin! Field Day Event Games- teams will have their final opportunity to earn points & win the trophy!
Ways to Earn Points:
Proper Prep Challenges:
- Week 1: Physical Activity – June 30-July 6 – Earn 1 point per player for logging 3 workouts
- Week 2: Eating Healthy Challenge– July 7-13 – Earn 1 point per player for eating 3 heart-healthy meals
- Week 3: Hands Only CPR – July 14-20 – Earn 1 point per player for learning hands-only CPR by watching this video - CPR & AED Refresher Course with Nurse Eunice [Adult, Child, and Infant]
- Week 4: AED Scavenger Hunt– July 21-27 – Earn 1 point per player for finding an AED “in the wild” (aka at a grocery store or public space) and sharing the photo with a team member
*Points are self-reported and can be submitted via the Microsoft Forms links that will be shared out each week to registered participants.
Fundraising Challenges:
- Register and you immediately start scoring points! 1 Score Point for each person on your team who registers.
- Any team who raises $500 will be awards 5 Score Points.
- Any individual who raises $100 will be awarded 2 Score Points for their team.
- Team with most donations secured (regardless of size) snags an additional 3 Score Points
- Each week of the Proper Prep Challenge there will be a bonus fundraising challenge that participants and teams can earn additional points.
Bonus Score Points
- 1st place team will earn 10 bonus points
- 2nd place team will earn 8 bonus points
- 3rd place team will earn 6 bonus points
Event Day Challenges:
On the day of Field Day, for each game played your team can earn points.
- 1st place team for each game will earn 3 points
- 2nd place team will earn 2 points
- 3rd place team will earn 1 point
