Watson Is Why!
My son, Watson, is why donations to the American Heart Association are so important and so incredibly worthy of our thanks. On May 17, 2019, Watson had to have a plug inserted into his heart to keep the blood from pumping into his year-and-a-half old lungs. Not only was I worried about the procedure, but every other thought regarding how Watson would do away from home, how to keep him comfortable, and what the future holds for him were all running through my head. While it was a first for me as a parent, it was just another procedure the medical team performed that day. Your donations make procedures like this possible. They go toward the advancement of technology used, and the extra care that needs to take place outside of medical facilities.
But more importantly...
Your donation helped Watson come home from the hospital sooner than expected.
Your donation allowed me to read Watson a bedtime story in his own pajamas, in his own room.
Your donation meant Watson was able to sleep in his own bed the same day of his procedure.
Your donation made it possible for Watson to live the most uninterrupted life possible, even when his life calls for some major interruptions.
And for that, we thank you.
