Each year, I participate in the Heart Walk to honor those in my life who have been impacted by heart disease or stroke: Logan, my mom, Kris, Teri, Colton, Jenna and many, many others.
This past month, I had the
opportunity to meet – and to be inspired by James and his wife, Rachael. James
walked 50 yards to cross the finish line of the Twin Cities Heart Walk. Each
step was amazing.
You see, at the age of 25, James suffered a cardiac arrest while he was running
along the road. A passerby performed CPR and saved James’ life. Unfortunately,
James was only given a 1% chance to survive. Doctors said James would never
walk nor talk again. The doctors were wrong. James’ story is powerful and inspiring.

So this year, I'm walking in honor of James. Please join me in honoring him with a gift to the Heart Walk. And, as in the past, I'll match your donation dollar for dollar. If you give $50 -- I'll match it $50! If you give $100, I'll match it with $100! You can really make me pay!
Thank you in advance for your donation. James and Rachael INSPIRE me and I know he is an inspiration to each of you, as well. James is Why.
