Help me be a Heart Walk Hero!
In 2003, after giving birth to my son, I was diagnosed with atrial septal defect (ASD), also known as a hole in the heart. As a new mom, I was terrified to learn that I had a heart condition that I never knew I had. Because of the great work of the American Heart Association, I was able to undergo a small, but serious, procedure to correct my defect. I now live a pretty comfortable life.
