Life is Why! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
I will be participating in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk once again this year. The purpose of the heart walk is to raise awareness and money to support the American Heart Association’s research.
I was born with a Congenital Heart Defect and over the years I have benefited from the research and support the American Heart Association provides.
Please consider joining me by supporting the American Heart Association in one or more of the following ways:
- Make a contribution to Jayden's Team and the American Heart Association.
- If you are available please join me on August 19th at the Ceder Valley Heart Walk. The walk will be held at Mudd Advertising, 915 Technology Parkway in Cedar Falls. The walk starts at 9:00, however, please arrive by 8:30 so we can get a team picture.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Jayden
My Story…
After Birth, I was diagnosed with a heart defect, known as Pulmonary Atresia with a Ventricular Septal Defect, which is a hole between the right and left ventricle of my heart and an underdeveloped pulmonary artery.
This diagnosis has led to multiple surgeries throughout my life. In March 2000 I had my first surgery when I was just 2 days old to insert a BT shunt. Then in 2001, I had my first open-heart surgery to repair a hole and insert a new pulmonary artery and in 2014 I received a new heart valve. In 2017 I developed a case of endocarditis, or an infection in the heart, which led to my second open heart surgery and a new heart valve and pulmonary artery, and in 2018 I had another surgery to replace a new heart valve.
As you can see from my story I have personally benefited from the research and support of the American Heart Association.
