I am once again raising funds in honor of my Grandpa Terry's journey with congenital heart disease.
Born with Tetrology of Fallot (a combination of 4 heart defects), he was taken to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland for an extensive work up at age 6. After being deemed a surgical candidate, the life saving surgery was performed by Dr. Blalock and Dr. Taussig in 1947! He went on to have another open heart surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester at age 22.
He is on my mind daily as I care for my patients, and I would love to continue honoring him with a donation made to the American Heart Association in his memory. Thank you for your support!
