I Walk to Save Lives!

I walk because I'm a survivor.

I was born with Pulmonary Atresia - intact ventricular septum (PA-IVS), a severe form of congenital heart disease. I was rushed to GCH as a baby to have 2 operations within my first 3 days of life. A Blalock-Taussig shunt and then a pulmonary valvectomy. At the age of 16 I had my ASD closed, and then on April 24, 2015, I had my most recent open heart surgery; I had a new pulmonary valve (RV-PA conduit) put in.
