I am proud to support the American Heart Association (AHA) in their groundbreaking research on pediatric congenital heart disease and transplants. Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are the most common birth defect in the U.S., affecting over 40,000 infants each year. The AHA, in collaboration with The Children’s Heart Foundation, has committed over $10 million over the past decade to advance our understanding and treatment of CHDs. Their efforts have been instrumental in improving the lives of countless children and their families.
In addition to their work on CHDs, the AHA also funds vital research in pediatric heart transplants. With nearly $3 million in grants awarded to pioneering researchers, the AHA and Enduring Hearts are dedicated to extending the life expectancy and enhancing the quality of life for children with transplanted hearts. Together, we are making strides towards a healthier future for our children, one heartbeat at a time.
