I walk because my Daddy had a massive stroke at 43 years old. It paralyzed the entire right side of his body and blurred his speech, making it almost impossible for him to communicate verbally for the remaining 29 years of his life.
The AHA was a tremendous help to my Mother, as she assisted with his limited rehabilitation, and particularly in teaching this girl from South Georgia, to cook without bacon grease, ham hocks, Crisco and frying every meat served.
