Imagine going your whole childhood not knowing you would need to have surgery on your heart when you got older well that's exactly what happen to me. When I turned 21 I was out of town with my parents visiting family and started experiencing tingling and numbness in my hands and arm, which prompted me to see a cardiologist and they ran test after and found I had a nickel size hole in my heart that never closed from birth. I ended with having a PFO closure done.
