In June 2021, my life changed forever when I was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. While waiting for a heart transplant, I suffered several strokes ? challenges that tested me physically, mentally, and emotionally. But thanks to incredible medical teams, life-saving research, and the generosity of organ donors, I received a new heart in September 2021.
Today, I walk with gratitude ? for the gift of life, for those who supported me along the way, and for the advances in cardiovascular care that made my recovery possible.
I?m fundraising for the American Heart Association to help drive the research, education, and advocacy that give people like me a second chance. Every step and every donation brings us closer to a world free of heart disease and stroke.
Thank you for supporting my journey and helping others find hope, healing, and heart health.
