Every year, I lace up my shoes and walk for someone incredibly special—my mother. She lives each day with a pacemaker, a symbol of strength after years of heart health challenges. Her journey is a daily reminder of the resilience of the human heart and the importance of caring for it—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I walk not only for her, but for the millions of others who live with heart disease and stroke. I walk for the families who’ve faced the fear of losing a loved one, and for those who fight every day to live well and thrive. Our hearts are more than organs—they are the rhythm of our lives, shaped by every choice, every emotion, and every step we take.
This year’s Heart Walk is especially meaningful as we celebrate the Centennial of the American Heart Association 100 years of walking together in purpose, in community, and in pursuit of healthier hearts for all. It’s a century of progress, of hope, and of lives saved.
Each step I take is a commitment to wellness and harmony, for myself, for my mother, and for everyone who believes in a future free of heart disease and stroke. Let your heart beat in step with ours.
Join us on September 20th—walk in your time, in your way, and donate to support hearts in wellness and harmony.
Together, we walk. Together, we heal. Together, we radiate, heal, and rise oh so early on September 20th.
