I lost my beautiful mother to a stroke in June 2024. Her loss has devastated me and my family to the core.
My mother had suffered a few small strokes over time but I never thought that there was any way of preventing the big one.
Strokes have claimed the lives of my mother, my aunt Joann two months after my mom. And their mother, my grandmother Emma. My grandmother suffered 10 years of reoccurring strokes, loss of one side of her body. The same with my aunt Joann who lost one side of her body and the ability to talk for two years.
So now I am learning more and will become a stroke advocate and warrior for them!
