Recently, my Dad shared that our family carries a genetic heart condition. Not long after learning this, I lost my dear friend Gabe suddenly and later discovered that he, too, had been living with a heart condition.
These experiences have made heart health deeply personal to me. Through my work at Delta Dental, I've also learned about the strong connection between oral health and heart health.
On September 25th, I'll be walking with Delta Dental in the Bay Area Heart Walk; for my Dad, for Gabe and for everyone impacted by heart disease. By raising money, we can fund life-saving research, expand programs, and raise awareness about the oral-heart health connection.
