I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
In October of 2022, my partner Jon was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with congestive heart failure at the age of 50. I have watched him better his life by cutting sodium out of his diet, quitting smoking (3 years now without a cigarette), losing weight to decrease pressure on his heart, and just doing what he needs to do to stay alive and be with me and our miniature pinscher, Rio. I have been walking in the American Heart Association's Annual Heart Walk since 2023 and, to date, I have raised around $3,500 in Jon's name. But this fight isn't over for Jon or any of the other 127.9 million adults (48.6% of the U.S. population) who fight some form of cardiovascular disease. The AHA's Annual Heart Walk is the leading event for raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke. Under the name "JonsCrew412," my friend (and Jon's co-worker) Lina and I will be walking on Saturday October 4th, 2025 at Hartwood Acres in Allison Park, PA. As of now, we have only been able to raise $369.04 out of our $1,100 fundraising goal. I know that times are tough for all, but if you can, please help my team reach our goal and donate.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. Will you help me? Every little bit helps!
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today.
Every little bit helps!
Thank you & God Bless you
