Thank you for being here. Whether youre walking, donating, or simply reading this, your presence matters more than you know.
Our team walks in memory of Gary, a beloved father, husband, friend, and outdoorsman who we lost suddenly to cardiac arrest on his 60th birthday. He was doing what he loved out on the water, about to cast his line when everything changed. It happened without warning. It was fast. And despite immediate efforts to save him, he never got the chance to reel in that fish.
Sadly, this story isnt unique.
Sudden cardiac arrest is not the same as a heart attack. It often strikes with no signs, and in 9 out of 10 cases that happen outside of a hospital, the person doesnt survive. Most of the time, its because bystander CPR wasn?t performed.
Thats why we walk for Gary, and for the countless others whose lives have been cut short. We walk to raise awareness, to push for greater access to AEDs, and to ensure more people are trained and ready to act. Because with the right tools and knowledge, we can help change the outcome for someone else.
This team is about more than one story, its about a mission to save lives.
Your support helps fund:
- CPR & AED training in schools, workplaces, and communities
- Life-saving heart research
- Programs that increase access to emergency response tools
- Education that empowers people to take action
We walk with love. We walk with purpose. We walk so that more lives can be saved and so fewer families have to face the loss.
