December 19, 2024, will be five (5) years since my last conversation with Grady. I want to share 5 things I have learned since he passed away due to a heart attack.
1. Always say I love you to your loved one. | Life is Short!
2. Listen to your body. | Whether it be mentally or physically, listen to your body. If is telling you to slow down... slow down. If is telling you... something isn't right... find out what isn't right. Don't ignore the signs!
3. Be grateful. | Treasure the memories and let them continue to live on.
4. Keep traditions going. | Grady never got the opportunity to meet his niece and nephew. It is important to me that my children know about the guardian angel. We still celebrate his birthday and listen to 'Grady's song' (You Make My Dreams Come True) as Addy calls it.
5. Live like Grady! | Eat well, love hard, and laugh big!
He isn't physically on earth with us anymore, but he still impacts our lives! I am passionate about sharing his story in hopes of saving another family from the tragedy we went through.
The AHA and its leaders are great resources and help those battling strokes, heart disease, and more.
