Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields, in your neighborhood or even your own home.
In my own personal case, my husband, Chris, underwent emergency quadruple bypass heart surgery in 2019. He had been experiencing some chests pains and discomfort, which flaired up at night and then decreased by morning for a period of two weeks. One night it became so uncomfortable that we had to rush him to the emergency room where they ran multipe tests on his heart. He never had a heart attack, but his heart was in distress. After numerous tests they found that he had 5 blockages in this arteries and three were in his main artery. The closest heart surgeon to us was 2 hours away and required Chris to have a medical transport to the hospital. Had we not taken Chris that night, we would have lost him. For that reason, I want to make people aware of many various heart conditions and how to detect them.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
