Life is why we walk.
Thanks to all our walkers, donors and volunteers who have accepted the challenge to help fight heart disease and stroke. We cannot achieve our mission without each one of you!
Meet our 2019 Heart & Stroke Walk Chair, Lisa Brandenburg
We are looking for volunteers to help with set up, tear down, and everything in between at the Heart Walk! If you or someone you know is willing to volunteer, please sign up today!
By participating in the Heart Walk, you’re joining a million Heart Walk Heroes from across the nation raising funds for lifesaving science. Science that can teach us all how to live longer and be Healthy For Good.
Take a few minutes to consider the lives you are going to help change for the better through your leadership and donations. We’re talking more moms, dads, brothers, aunts and babies' lives saved. Help keep hearts everywhere beating. Let’s take steps together to cure heart disease and stroke.
Emotional Well-being Now Part of My Cardiac Coach™ App
Fear, anxiety, depression and other difficult emotions are often part of the recovery process for heart attack and stroke survivors. That’s why the American Heart Association’s free smartphone app, My Cardiac Coach, now includes a tool to help with emotional well-being. My Cardiac Coach helps survivors in their treatment plans and recovery progress and the app is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Development of the emotional wellbeing tool was supported by Premera Blue Cross.
