Welcome to Chuck’s Crew!
Chuck’s Crew is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the American Heart Association in honor of Charles (Chuck) Cameron who was adedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. Chuck lost his battle with heart disease on August 27, 2023, and through his loss, we hope to bring to light the importance of preventing and fighting Heart Disease.
Who was Chuck Cameron?
Chuck was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and after leaving the military in 1973, went on to get married and become a father to four children. Chuck worked for many years in the grocery business and was a member of Local 655 where he found a passion in mentoring students with learning disabilities at Ritenour High School through the Community Based Vocational Instruction.
Chuck was a family man through and through and worked hard for many years to provide for his family. Throughout his life, his love for his children and grandchildren was apparent in everything he did. From his practical jokes, to working overtime so his daughter could get a college education, to shooting hoops in the back yard, giving motorcycle rides and taking his kids to see professional wrestling - Chuck certainly lived a full life.
Chuck was immensely kind-hearted and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger if they needed it. He leaves behind a legacy of the importance of giving and bestowing love & kindness to one another.
Chuck battled Congestive Heart Failure after being diagnosed five years ago and fought hard throughout the years to stay with his family. We hope that the funds raised for STL Heart Walk contribute to the mission of AHA and preventing deaths like Chuck’s in the future.
