Being a sudden victim of a stroke at the young age of 47 was a shock. Subsequently, we discovered a PFO as the culprit. I have done the AHA Heart Walk in honor of my grandmother for 10+ years. This year and the next several hit different. Thanks to the research of the AHA, I made a full recovery with only requiring a quick procedure to close the hole between my left and right atrium. 30 years ago, this was an open procedure. Now, it is basically a Cath and I was even able to watch the whole procedure….IT WAS AWESOME! Thanks for supporting Team (W)hole-Y Heart Batman!!!
