I’m carrying the torch! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
Starting in 2017 I ran in honor of my Mom, who had a stent placed in October of that year. She had many warning signs that told her something was not quite right so she went to her Doctor. We are so lucky that she acted quickly and is doing great today. A few years ago, her younger brother, my Uncle Tom, had an emergency triple bypass heart surgery. Thankfully both are doing well! This year I will run 13.1 miles in honor of my Mom and Uncle Tom!
I’m not just running or walking. I’m carrying the torch toward a world free from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. My participation in the Heart Mini-Marathon and Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2020. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
